TIMELINE & UPDATES
CURrENT FUNDING CAMPAIGN:
POST-PRODUCTION, PHASE ONE
We’re at the start of a three-phase journey to complete the frontotemporal dementia documentary, and it all begins with crucial work needed in the editing room. Our short timeline presented here gives a quick overview of the three phases left in the project.
This phase is dedicated to creating the initial rough edit of the film, including identification of what content we’ll need to film in Phase 2 in order to complete the film. It’s a large chunk of editing hours that will likely roll over slightly into Phase 3 as well, when the final editing work is completed.
Our total fundraising goal for this phase is only $6,950, and every single donation makes a difference, as we work our way towards the film’s completion in the Summer of 2025.
It’s not a large amount of funding, but it’s absolutely crucial to the success of the project that we complete this first phase of fundraising and move forward full steam ahead.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us anytime. We’ll be more than happy to discuss any aspect of the frontotemporal dementia documentary with you. Thank you for your support!

Early Trailer for the Documentary
Although rough around the edges, this original, internet-only trailer we put together very early to start getting the word out about the film still provides a solid foundation for what’s to come as the project moves forward.
The short preview pulled in nearly 40,000 views over on the Hollywood 27 Productions YouTube channel, well before the documentary found its home here at Change the World Films. Please click here to read more background on this trailer over on our CLIPS page.
Eric’s First Experience with FTD
Although every diagnosis is different, frontotemporal dementia is often completely devastating to the person affected, with tragic a ripple effect onto the lives of their closest loved ones as well.
In this video, Eric tells the story of the first time he met someone with FTD, and also reveals the inspirational origins of the FTD documentary as well.
LATEST UPDATES
Creating a Resources Roadmap for Everyone Affected by FTD
We’ve seen a very big, surprise shift in our trajectory for this project as a whole (all in positive ways), and although I’ll cover that later in more detail, today I just want to briefly talk about one of the biggest pieces to it: the RESOURCES CENTER (working title) we’ll be creating here at frontotemporaldementia.org….
Frontotemporal Dementia Website Arrives
I’d like to officially welcome you to our new website, the now permanent home for the Change the World Films documentary on frontotemporal dementia. This project was stuck in the “in between zone” for far too long — in between producers for a bit and even in between production companies briefly. We’ve now made certain…
