Resources for Frontotemporal Dementia Page Now Active
We are very pleased to announce that our Frontotemporal Dementia Resources page is now active. As I touched on in an earlier post, creating a Resources Center was an extremely important part of this project, providing a place where we can fill in the gaps that families, loved ones, caregivers, and pretty much anyone affected by FTD can turn to for help.
The first resource is our EMERGENCY ROOM CHECKLIST, a downloadable full page checklist to help prepare in advance for a trip to the emergency room.
Over time we’ll be adding to RESOURCES CENTER extensively, getting more and more in-depth and precise as well, offering as many helpful things as possible based on requests from the community.
If you’d like to help, I strongly encourage you to join HOPE FOR CHANGE, our collaborative effort with one of the biggest dementia caregiver groups online, . The more people we can bring into the mix here, especially if you can go in with a “sky is the limit” attitude, the more impact we can make.
A BIG, BIG THANK YOU to both Gabi and Susie over at Hope for Change / Dementia: The Journey Ahead for helping to create the Emergency Room Checklist, and we’ll have more added to the Resources Center very, very soon thanks to them as well.
