New Download Added to the FTD Resources Page

As promised, we’re back with a new download in our Frontotemporal Dementia Resources center. A big part of the frontotemporal dementia documentary project here is to keep working to fill in the gaps that families, loved ones, and caregivers tell us are important, and this is the next step down that path.

The new resource is called THE YIKES CARD. It’s a business card sized handout card to carry with you and give to people whenever you need to quietly, tactfully let them know that your loved one or patient has dementia.

This card was originally created by Susan Scarff, author of Dementia: The Journey Ahead: A Practical Guide for In-Home Caregivers, and founder of Dementia: The Journey Ahead, the free Facebook Support Group that partnered with us to create and help grow the HOPE FOR CHANGE group as well.

We’ll be back in December with a special download to help with the stress of the holidays. In the meantime, as always, A BIG THANK YOU to both Gabi and Susie over at Hope for Change / Dementia: The Journey Ahead for helping to create the Yikes Card.
