New Dementia Resource Added + Partnerships and Sponsorships Now Open
We’ve been “in the lab” a bit here over the past few months, so I have multiple updates to provide here in late April as we continue to push forward with the FTD Documentary. Outside of the two big updates below, we also have a short new preview clip arriving later in the Spring, and a new resource launching right along with it. For now, however, here’s the very latest…
7 DEMENTIA HACKS #1 NOW IN RESOURCES
We’ve just published the first in a new series of helpful dementia resources called 7 DEMENTIA HACKS, featuring some relatively quick and easy ideas (for the most part) that you can implement to hopefully make life as a caregiver, and also for any person living with dementia, a little easier. If you jump over to our Frontotemporal Dementia Resources page, you can pick up your own PDF copy of 7 DEMENTIA HACKS #1 right there.
As always, big thanks to not only Gabi Chadwick and Susan Scarff from Dementia: The Journey Ahead, but also to members of Hope for Change, plus members of the All Hands on Deck support group, who directly contributed to this resource as well! Thank you ALL for helping us to make a difference in people’s lives.
PARTNERSHIPS & SPONSORSHIPS LAUNCH
As we’ve started to do more outreach in preparation for the 2nd phase of the documentary, our Veritas Advisory Committee identified a bit of a gap in our donations/support options — the lack of partnerships and sponsorships. Not one to rest on my laurels here, I immediately implemented the suggestions, and in short order we picked up our first sponsor.
Big thanks to Bouncing Sprout Studio for becoming that first sponsor! To learn more about them, our other sponsors, and how your company can become one as well, head over to our new SPONSORSHIPS page.
We’ve also opened the door for partners, companies that have synergy with the work we’re doing here at frontotemporaldementia.org. We’re currently contacting memory care centers and other places with an affinity to the cause here, working to not only secure more funding, but also to partner on programs at these types of facilities as well.
So if you’re affiliated with a memory care center, hospital, or any place where you’d like our team to come out and show some footage, spark conversations, bring new resources, etc., please click here to contact us and get the ball rolling. We’re essentially bringing the dementia support group to you, including remote attendance by our own Gabi Chadwick in the UK if we can schedule accordingly.
You can also read more about our partnerships structure over on our new PARTNERSHIPS page.
That’s all the updates for now, other than editing is still progressing, and I expect a bit of a quantum leap there in May and June as we fight to get the 2nd phase underway in late Summer here. I’ll keep everyone posted as things progress there too.
