FTD Documentary - Gene Watches Katie Play Violin

Frontotemporal Dementia Website Arrives

I’d like to officially welcome you to our new website, the now permanent home for the Change the World Films documentary on frontotemporal dementia.

This project was stuck in the “in between zone” for far too long — in between producers for a bit and even in between production companies briefly. We’ve now made certain that it’s found its proper home, however, receiving the attention it truly deserves.

Indeed, the FTD Documentary will stay atop the Change the World Films priority list until its completion. All the pieces are now in place, so the only mountain left to climb is project funding, which we’ve now broken up phase-by-phase, to ensure the project can move forward, even while funding remains ongoing.

For a little more on what’s led to this point, please click here to read my FTD DOC update from mid-March over at ChangeTheWorldFilms.studio.

One thing that sadly hasn’t changed, and shows no signs of doing so, is the truly devastating force of frontotemporal dementia. There aren’t many things like it, and we’ll be working hard to make sure frontotemporaldementia.org isn’t simply a website for a film — it needs to be much more.

Like everything else we create here at Change the World Films, we want to be an extensive resource for those affected by whatever issue we’re tackling. In the case of FTD, we most importantly want to be there for families as they first learn of what they’re up against with this terrible disease.

We’re ready to work, and I hope you’re ready to help as well. Donations, no matter how big or small, combined with spreading the word on the project, are the two things we need help with to make sure our Frontotemporal Dementia Documentary succeeds.

Please click here to see where our fundraising campaign currently stands. It’s a 4-phase campaign, with Phase 1 soon to get underway.

It involves the initial rough edit of the film, a necessity to pave the way for Phase 2, when we hit the road again to film new doctor interviews, bringing everything from the medical treatment side of things (and more) completely up-to-date for 2025-26.

Thanks for taking the time to read this update, and I look forward to sharing much, much more as we progress.
